Descripción Adequate management of emotions is an index of mental health, understood as an integral balance with life that today includes the use of new technologies. The objective of this article is: To carry out a synthesis of scientific evidence regarding the development of mobile applications for the management of emotions from contemporary everyday life. A bibliographic search was carried out between 2017 and 2024, in the ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed and JMIR databases using the following keywords: 'Apps', 'Emotions', 'Psychology', 'Technology', 'mHealth', 'Digital Interventions' and 'Mindfulness'. Initially, more than 1,200 documents were identified, 580 were analyzed and 15 articles were selected according to eligibility criteria. Of 580 articles that mention the development of apps for the management of emotions, the 15 chosen indicate the process of building the apps and present the results of their use. They report effectiveness in reducing negative emotions such as depression and anxiety. It is important to note that many of these applications on the market are not accredited or validated through clinical trials. Many are offered commercially as healthy tools without having demonstrated any effects. However, there is significant evidence of increased clinical validation of these applications between 2023-2024. Although this review finds reports of effectiveness in reducing emotions such as anxiety, stress and depression, clinical trials are needed to support benefits. Future research is recommended for the development of applications for these purposes, given the beneficial effects derived for psychology and the advances in technology itself. 2023-2024 data shows significant advances in personalization, AI integration and clinical validation.
