PANINDEX expects to index Panamanian scientific and academic journals in electronic format from universities and other research institutions or organizations. The journals that are indexed in PANINDEX are framed in the currents of open access.
PANINDEX, the first index of Panamanian scientific journals, is a platform created with the objective of raising the quality of editorial production in all areas of knowledge and strengthening scientific dissemination within the framework of sovereignty, management, scientific diplomacy and data security.
AboutPANINDEX seeks to raise the quality of the editorial production of journals throughout the country, and thus give greater visibility to authors and their research results in the region.
With the PANINDEX initiative, the University of Panama seeks to position itself as the leading platform for the visualization of Panama's scientific production.
PANINDEX will be a valuable strategy to standardize the editorial production of national journals and to design policies aimed at strengthening scientific publications in Panama.

Indexing Criteria
Las revistas postuladas para Panindex pasarán por un proceso de evaluación de varias etapas. Por ello, es importante que la solicitud sea llenada correctamente para facilitar la evaluación y evitar retrasos en la obtención de los resultados. Antes de presentar una solicitud, se recomienda familiarizarse con las politicas del acuerdo DORA.
La indexación de revistas incluye los siguientes pasos:

Como resultado final de la evaluación se entregara al editor jefe de la revista, un informe con resultados de la evaluación, de cumplir con la cantidad de criterios permitidos, la revista pasará a ser indexada.
