Descripción The aim of this article was to analyze the contributions of interculturality to Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in the Colombian context from a sociocultural and critical perspective aimed at understanding the tensions between school curriculum, sexuality, and cultural diversity. The study adopted a qualitative approach based on documentary review and interpretive analysis of a corpus of 30 academic and institutional sources related to sexuality education, interculturality, and sexual and reproductive rights. The analysis identified that a significant proportion of CSE initiatives implemented across Latin America continues to be organized around approaches centered on the prevention of biological risks and the individual regulation of sexual behavior, with limited connection to the sociocultural experiences of children and adolescents in culturally diverse contexts. The documentary analysis also revealed the persistence of standardized curricular models that hinder the recognition of local forms of understanding the body, care, and affectivity present in indigenous, Afro-descendant, and rural territories. From the review, three conceptual elements were identified that articulate CSE with the intercultural approach (sexuality as a sociocultural construction, dialogue among knowledge systems, and the coloniality of school knowledge) along with five pedagogical orientations that can guide contextualized educational practices. The study concludes that incorporating intercultural perspectives into CSE does not merely imply expanding content related to cultural diversity, but rather questioning the epistemological architecture from which schools have historically understood sexuality and educational processes.
