Descripción This paper aims to analyse the main differences between two types of compensation: loss of profit and loss of opportunity. This is done from different points of view: origin, content, regulation, compensation, among others. Two autonomous figures whose mastery facilitates the application of integral repair. Therefore, we do not intend to exhaust the topic, much less that it is exhaustive, but open to the debate of the academic community a subject that does not cease to worry law scholars.
Descripción El presente trabajo tiene como objeto analizar las principales diferencias entre dos rubros indemnizables: el lucro cesante y la pérdida de oportunidad. Ello se realiza a partir de distintos puntos de vista: origen, contenido, regulación, resarcimiento, entre otros. Dos figuras autónomas cuyo dominio facilita la aplicación de la reparación integral. Por consiguiente, no pretendemos agotar el tópico ni mucho menos que el mismo sea exhaustivo, sino abrir al debate de la comunidad académica un tema que no deja de inquietar a los estudiosos del derecho.
