Forty years ago, the Argentine Republic recovered the Malvinas, South Georgia and Sandwich Islands, as well as the surrounding areas, in a legitimate action on the insular and maritime territory usurped by English colonialism. Faced with this situation, the Panamanian government carried out a titanic job in the UN and in the OAS, in defense of the Argentine cause, which is not different from the one raised by the Republic of Panama in that viacrucis for the eradication of the US colonial enclave, the delivery of the Canal to the territorial sovereign and the removal of foreign military bases from the national territory. This essay explains the different solidarity actions of our country, in these international forums, with the purpose of making reason and International Law prevail in favor of the peoples who still fight for their decolonization today. Hace cuarenta años, la República Argentina recuperó las Islas Malvinas, las Georgias del Sur y las Sandwich, así como las áreas circundantes, en una acción legitima sobre el territorio insular y marítimo usurpado por el colonialismo inglés. Ante esta situación, el Gobierno panameño realizó una titánica labor en la ONU y en la OEA, en defensa de la causa argentina, que no es diferente a la que enarboló la República de Panamá en ese viacrucis por la erradicación del enclave colonial estadounidense, la entrega del Canal al soberano territorial y el desalo de las bases militares extranjeras del territorio nacional. En este ensayo se explican las diferentes acciones solidarias de nuestro país, en esos foros internacionales, con el propósito de hacer que prevaleciera la razón y el Derecho Internacional a favor de los pueblos que aún hoy día luchan por su descolonización.
