Descripción This research stems from the need of university graduates in the health area to achieve their insertion in the labor market, which requires highly competent professionals who denote the application of their knowledge and soft skills to meet the demands of a constantly changing labor market. For this reason, the objective of this research was to design an induction course for students in their last year of the Faculty of Health Sciences of a private university in Panama City. For this purpose, a qualitative approach was used, based on a sampling of voluntary participants, implementing the focal study as a data collection technique. By way of results, the participants agreed that there is a need to receive training in duties and rights as established in the Panamanian legislation for the health sector. At the same time, they also mentioned the need to implement courses or workshops in their curricula aimed at strengthening their soft skills, as well as the competencies they should have; on the other hand, they emphasized the importance of projecting their personal and professional image. In conclusion. It is evident the lack of knowledge of the participants regarding the personal preparation that entails the entrance to the labor world, given that, to opt for job opportunities, it is necessary to have strengths that are directly linked to the behavior and development of a work and personal environment.
