Descripción This paper describes the design and implementation of an e-learning <e-mat> course to determine the learning of rational numbers in undergraduate students in management, consulting and business, at Hosanna University. The methodology consisted of explanatory field research with a quasi-experimental design. The results indicate that the learning of rational numbers was improved in the dimensions of symbolic-mathematical interpretation, accuracy of the answers to the exercises, problem solving and logical sequence in the applied procedures. In conclusion, there is a high margin of acceptance and intellectual complacency on the part of the students who used the <e-mat> course, given its multiplicity of technological resources; its perceptive communicative interaction; and its flexible, feasible and adaptable mechanism.
