Descripción Currently there is an imbalance in the care of the environment, a problem that must be addressed by all citizens of the world, especially young people, because the future of our planet depends on them. Environmental education is a fundamental factor to create awareness about caring for the environment, where university students can be the focus of attention and transmit information through various ways and especially through digital platforms, thus allowing information to reach all quickly and efficiently, and together we can work together for the benefit of our environment. The objective of this work is to analyze the advantages that the social network (INSTAGRAM) offers us and how to use it to create awareness in university students for the care of the environment. The study was descriptive; the information was collected through the application of an instrument (survey) to the total population of 50 university students. The results show that the majority of the students surveyed would use the social network Instagram to create projects and raise awareness among the population for the care of the environment, on the other hand, most of the students have not participated in conferences and contests on caring for the environment. Environment which confirms the importance of this research to promote sustainable development of the environment.
Descripción En la actualidad, se observa un desequilibrio en el cuidado del medio ambiente, problema que debe ser atendido por todos los ciudadanos del mundo; especialmente, por los jóvenes; porque de ellos depende el futuro de nuestro planeta. La educación ambiental es un factor fundamental, para crear conciencia sobre el cuidado del medio ambiente; donde los estudiantes universitarios puedan ser foco de atención y trasmitir información a través de diversas maneras y sobre todo por medio de las plataformas digitales; permitiendo así que la información llegue a todos de manera rápida y eficaz; igualmente, juntos podamos trabajar unidos en beneficio de nuestro medio ambiente. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar las ventajas que nos brinda la red social (INSTAGRAM); y cómo utilizarla para crear conciencia en los estudiantes universitarios para el cuidado del medio ambiente. El estudio fue descriptivo, la información se recolecto mediante la aplicación de un instrumento (encuesta), a la población total de 50 estudiantes universitarios. Los resultados demuestran que la mayoría de los estudiantes encuestados utilizarían la red social Instagram; para crear proyectos y concientizar a la población para el cuidado del medio ambiente; por otro lado, también la mayoría de los estudiantes no ha participado en conferencias y concursos sobre el cuidado del medio ambiente; lo que nos ratifica la importancia de esta investigación para promover el desarrollo sostenible del medio ambiente.
