This article shows the perception of the social and environmental problems of the students who were studying the subject Society, Environment and Development at the Regional University Center of Coclé, during the first semester of the year 2022. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional investigation. The opinion of the students was the common thread, to understand the social reality that Cocle's homes are experiencing. From these elements it is possible to create explanatory constructs of this historical moment that the province of Coclé is experiencing and by extension the entire Republic of Panama.The student population studying the subject: Society, Environment and Development, at the Regional University Center of Coclé, was surveyed, seeking to capture the perception of the 112 students enrolled. En este artículo se muestra la percepción de los problemas sociales y ambientales de los estudiantes que cursaban la materia Sociedad, Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo en el Centro Regional Universitario de Coclé, durante el primer semestre del año 2022. Siendo esta una investigación descriptiva, transversal. La opinión de los estudiantes fue el hilo conductor, para comprender la realidad social que están viviendo los hogares coclesanos. A partir de estos elementos se pueden crear constructos explicativos de este momento histórico que vive la provincia de Coclé y por extensión toda la República de Panamá. Se encuestó a la población estudiantil que cursaba la asignatura: Sociedad, Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo, en el Centro Regional Universitario de Coclé, buscando captar la percepción de los 112 estudiantes matriculados. Del total, solamente, 98 estudiantes contestaron la encuesta (87.5%).
