Descripción Introduction: TratHo® Dengue is a homeopathic medicine, recommended as a complementary therapy in the improvement of symptoms (fever, headache, physical weakness, musculoskeletal pain and others) compatible with dengue. Objective: to characterize patients with medical prescription of TratHo® Dengue at the Teaching Polyclinic " East Area " of Camagüey; from June to October 2022. Methods: an observational analytical study of cases and controls was carried out at the Medical Office No. 6 of the "Área Este" Polyclinic of Camagüey, during the period from June to October 2022. Seventy patients with diagnostic impression of dengue fever participated, divided into a group of cases (patients treated with TratHo® Dengue) and a group of controls (without treatment). The following variables were analyzed: age groups, sex, operational classification, clinical manifestations and patient recovery. Results: in the patients studied, there was a predominance of patients aged 2-39 years with 28.6% treated with the homeopathic preparation and 22.9% not treated. Similarly, the superiority was in the male sex, while in the operational classification the preponderant result was 0 in the patients with the treatment 74.3 % and 1 in those who did not receive it 63.9 %. At the beginning of the study, most of the patients reported fever and headache, which disappeared completely after the twelfth day of treatment. Conclusions: Natural and Traditional Medicine constitutes a therapeutic alternative that brings benefits in the treatmentof different conditions, including dengue fever.
Descripción Introducción: el TratHo® Dengue es un medicamento homeopático, recomendado terapia complementaria en la mejoría de los síntomas (fiebre, cefalea, debilidad física, dolores músculo-esqueléticos y otros) compatibles con dengue. Objetivo: caracterizar a pacientes con prescripción médica de TratHo® Dengue en el Policlínico Docente Área Este de Camagüey; entre junio a octubre de 2022. Métodos: se realizó un estudio analítico observacional de casos y controles, en el Consultorio Médico No. 6 del Policlínico “Área Este” de Camagüey, durante el periodo comprendido de junio a octubre de 2022. Participaron 70 pacientes con impresión diagnóstica de dengue, divididos en un grupo de casos (los pacientes tratados con TratHo® Dengue) y un grupo de controles (sin tratamiento). Fueron analizadas las variables: grupos de edades, sexo, clasificación operacional, manifestaciones clínicas y recuperación del paciente. Resultados: en los pacientes estudiados predominaron las edades de 2-39 años con 28,6 % los tratados con el preparado homeopático y 22,9 % los que no. De igual manera la superioridad estuvo en el sexo masculino, mientras en la clasificación operacional el resultado preponderante fue 0 en los pacientes con el tratamiento 74,3 % y 1 en los que no lo recibieron 63,9 %. A inicio del estudio la mayoría de los pacientes refirieron fiebre y cefalea, los que desaparecieron en la totalidad pasado el duodécimo día de tratamiento. Conclusiones: la Medicina Natural y Tradicional constituye una alternativa terapéutica que reporta beneficios en el tratamiento de las diferentes afecciones, incluido el dengue.
