Descripción Introduction: the rheumatic illness are chronic sufferings with economical, work, social impact and in life’s hope of those who have it in the world and Cuba. However, the observations of the acting’s modes of the Rehabilitation’s technicians and the need that demands of permanent and continuously education allowed the identification of insufficiencies of these humans’ resources in the rehabilitator integral handle of patients with rheumatic illness. Objective: to value the current state of the professional competencies of the Health’s technicians in Rehabilitation in front to the integral rehabilitator handle of the patients with rheumatic illness in La Habana. Methods of the theoretical level: theoretical investigation: historical logic, documental analyze, systematization, of the empirical through observations and polls and the mathematic-statistics that contributes to obtain the results of the diagnosis of the current state of the professional competencies of the Health’s technicians of Rehabilitation in front to the integral rehabilitator handle of the patients with rheumatic illness in the selected context. Results: the studied population suffers from an insufficient knowledge of the professional competencies in the integral attention of the rheumatic patient. Conclusions: the current state of the professional competencies in the integral attention of the rheumatic patient for the Health’s technicians in Rehabilitation was lacking. 
Descripción Introducción: las enfermedades reumáticas son padecimientos crónicos con impacto económico, laboral, social y en la esperanza de vida de quienes las padecen en el mundo y Cuba. No obstante, las observaciones de los modos de actuación de los tecnólogos de Rehabilitación y la necesidad que demandan de educación permanente y continuada, permitió la identificación de insuficiencias de estos recursos humanos en el manejo rehabilitador integral de pacientes con enfermedades reumáticas. Se asume el objetivo de investigación: valorar el estado actual de las competencias profesionales de los tecnólogos de Rehabilitación frente al manejo rehabilitador integral de pacientes con enfermedades reumáticas en La Habana. Para ello se emplearon métodos del nivel teórico: indagaciones teóricas: histórico lógico, análisis documental, sistematización, del empírico mediante observaciones y encuestas y los matemáticos-estadísticos que contribuyeron a obtener los resultados del diagnóstico del estado actual de las competencias profesionales en rehabilitación integral de pacientes con enfermedades reumáticas en el contexto seleccionado. Resultados: la población estudiada adolece de insuficientes conocimientos de las competencias profesionales en la atención integral al paciente reumático.   Conclusiones: el nivel de dominio de las competencias profesionales en la atención integral al paciente reumático por los tecnólogos en Rehabilitación resultó carente.
