Descripción This article is presented on the importance of linking students to scientific research, since universities must fulfill their mission based on three components: education, research and linkage with society. In this sense, the Research Center of the Faculty of Economics, in accordance with the postulates of Panamanian scientific policy and the role it plays in the student community in the approach of the socioeconomic research paradigm, strengthens the sources of information for research, through the student work of updating the Center's economic and financial databases as technical support and support for the development of research and scientific articles of the Faculty of Economics as part of the academic support strategy in educational training.
Descripción Se presenta este artículo sobre la importancia de la vinculación de los estudiantes a la investigación científica, en base al hecho de que las universidades deben cumplir su misión con base en tres componentes: la educación, la investigación y la vinculación con la sociedad. En este sentido el Centro de Investigación de la Facultad de Economía en apego a los postulados de  la política científica panameña y el papel que juega en la comunidad estudiantil en el enfoque de la  paradigma de la investigación socioeconómica, fortalece las fuentes de información para la investigación, a través del trabajo estudiantil de actualización de bases de datos económicas y financieras del Centro como respaldo técnico y apoyo al desarrollo de investigaciones y artículos científicos de la Facultad de Economía como parte de la estrategia de sostenimiento académico en la formación educativa.
