Descripción The measures implemented in the A.L region in the area of social protection facilitated the mitigation, in part, of the catastrophic effects in the social instance; However, almost three years after its inception, the region has seen an accelerated deterioration in the material living conditions of the population and the abyss that exists in strengthening effective welfare states is evident, with a Health and Social Security System that guarantees equal conditions in access to benefits with high levels of coverage, of financial sufficiency and sustainability. The pandemic clearly established the structural weaknesses of the health systems and pension system in A.L., the former based on a matrix of social inequality and the latter highly vulnerable due to the derisory amount of their amount; However, at the same time, it established boundaries on the need to strengthen and articulate health systems and pension systems within the framework of the principle of solidarity.
Descripción Las medidas implementadas en la región de A.L en materia de protección social facilitaron atenuar, en parte, los efectos catastróficos en la instancia social; sin embargo, a casi tres años de su inicio se observa en la región un deterioro acelerado de las condiciones materiales de vida de la población y se evidencia el abismo que existe en robustecer los estados de bienestar, con un Sistema de Salud y de Seguridad Social que garanticen igualdad de condiciones en el acceso a las prestaciones con altos niveles de cobertura, de suficiencia y sostenibilidad financiera. La pandemia dejo claramente establecida las debilidades estructurales de los sistemas de salud y régimen de pensiones en A.L. los primeros basados en una matriz de desigualdad social y los segundos con alta vulnerabilidad por lo irrisorio del monto de su cuantía; no obstante, a su vez, estableció fronteras sobre la necesidad de fortalecer y articular los sistemas de salud y los sistemas de pensiones en el marco del principio de solidaridad.
